Zero Trust
A secure design philosophy that assumes everyone is adversarial and uses cryptography to eliminate the risks of interacting with them. Zero trust is a broad concept that extends beyond the domain of software into areas like how an institution is organized, how it sources hardware, and how it incentivizes its members.
There are five components of zero trust: identities, devices, networks, applications, and data.
